Tutorial: Simple Wet-felted Apples

This tutorial needs little explanation in the form of words, but please feel free to ask questions in the comments section if anything is unclear.

You’ll need wool roving (available from craft stores), soap and warm water to form the balls. I used a little piece of green felt for a leaf and a twig from outside for the stalk. You could certainly make it more fancy, but I chose something easy that little fingers can do :)

So to start, form a loose ball from the wool roving, get your hands soapy and begin to soap, roll, roll and more rolling, and rinse! Allow to dry overnight before making your apple.

Apples
by Helen H. Moore

Apples, apples, what a treat,
sweet and tart and good to eat.
Apples green and apples red,
hang from branches overhead,
and when they ripen, down they drop,
so we can taste our apple crop!
